BEAM Barkod Kullanımı

BARCODE PREPARATION METHODS

Asset Barcodes:

Asset Management -```> Assets -\> Add/Modify/Copy -\>``` General Information

In the barcode identification for the assets, the "Barcode Code" field in the asset detail page is used.

Entity Barcode Code field properties:

The Barcode Code field is a "String" type field that allows "20" character input by default.

Since it is a string field, it can have "letters, numbers, symbols" contents.

"The character limit can be increased according to the needs and demands of our users."

Mapping Barcode Codes to Assets

Our customers who want to add barcode information for their assets defined in the Beam application; If there is a barcode scheme they have prepared, they can prepare an excel containing Asset Code & Barcode Code mappings and transmit them through the bimser support system and have these mappings applied to the system.

Our users who want to add barcode code information for the assets to be added to the Beam application for the first time can prepare the "Entity Template" excel sent to them by adding a column named "Barcode" in it.

Barcode Code Preparation

If there is no existing barcode system on the assets of our users and it is desired to create it for the first time, the following methods can be followed to prepare the barcode code:

  1. Defining asset codes as barcode codes at the same time:

An existing encoding hierarchy that has been created for entity encoding can also be applied to the barcode code.

  1. Identify the Serial Number as also the barcode code:

If the assets have their own serial numbers and they are in the hands of our user, these serial numbers can be used as barcode codes.

  1. Create a new code system with abbreviations for the entity's details:

To give an example for a 1200 rpm drying dryer in A block circle 1, "Krt-Mak-1200dvr-Ablok-D1"

Creating Labels from Barcode Codes

To create labels to be pasted into assets for the Beam app after assets and barcode codes are added in a paired form:

Asset Management -> Reports -```>``` 01 Asset Barcode List

Using the report, they can prepare "IR Barcode" or "QR barcode" reports of the assets:

Default Barcode Report: "Barcode Type: Code-128"

Default Barcode Report: "Barcode Type: QRcode"

The label designs you see in the examples can be arranged according to customer demand.

Our customer can prepare a template containing the measurement and content details of the label design requested and report it through the bimser support system.

For the assets whose barcode information is defined in the Beam application, the "Asset Barcode List" report and the reports containing the labels are pulled. The user then prints these reports from the barcode printer, labels them on the relevant assets and makes them ready for use.

Material Barcodes:

Materials Management -```> Materials -\> Add/Change/Copy -\>``` General Information

In the barcode identification for materials, the "Barcode Code" field in the material detail page is used.

Material Barcode Code field features:

The Barcode Code field is a "String" type field that allows "100" character input by default.

Since it is a string field, it can have "letters, numbers, symbols" contents.

Matching Barcode Codes with Materials

Our customers who want to add barcode information for the materials defined in the Beam application; If there is a barcode layout they have prepared, they can prepare an excel containing Material Code & Barcode Code mappings and transmit them through the bimser support system and have these pairings applied to the system.

Our users who want to add barcode code information for the materials to be added to the Beam application for the first time can prepare the "Material Template" excel sent to them by adding a column named "Barcode" in it.

Barcode Code Preparation

If there is no existing barcode system on the assets of our users and it is desired to create it for the first time, the following methods can be followed to prepare the barcode code:

  1. Defining material codes as barcode codes at the same time:

An existing coding hierarchy created for material coding can also be applied to barcode code.

  1. Identify the Serial Number as also the barcode code:

If the materials have their own serial numbers and they are in the hands of our user, these serial numbers can be used as barcode codes.

  1. Creating a new code system with abbreviations for material details:

To give an example for a work table: Cal-Masa-MDF

Creating Labels from Barcode Codes

To create labels that will be attached to the materials for these barcode codes after the assets and barcode codes are added to the Beam app in a matched form:

Materials Management -> Reports -> 04 Barcode List and Printing

Using the report, they can prepare "IR Barcode" or "QR barcode" reports of materials:

Default Material Barcode Report: "Barcode Type: Code93Extended"

The label designs you see in the examples can be arranged according to customer demand.

Our customer can prepare a template containing the measurement and content details of the label design requested and report it through the bimser support system.

For the materials whose barcode information is defined in the Beam application, the "Barcode List and Printing" report and the reports containing the labels are pulled. The user then prints these reports from the barcode printer, labels them on the relevant assets and makes them ready for use.

USING A BARCODE READER

Advantages of the Barcode Scanner Feature

The barcode reader function provides significant benefits in asset selection and material selection.

The main benefits it will provide are;

  • There will be no hassle of manually searching the code of the faulted asset in the system.
  • Maintenance personnel will be able to check opened requests or orders for an asset that is nearby.
  • Maintenance personnel will be able to quickly add the materials they are using in the work order to the system.
  • When the asset is moved, the moved asset will be easily selected.
  • After the asset move, it will be easy to select if there is an owner asset to which the asset is linked.
  • When creating material movement, the relevant materials can be selected quickly.

Performing these operations with the barcode reader will significantly accelerate and facilitate the work of the personnel in the field environments.

A list of all areas where the scanner function is used is listed in detail on the next page.

QR Code & Barcode Scanner Where to Use

In the application, barcode reading function is used in all kinds of areas that require asset and material selection.

These places are;

  1. ENTITIES -> ADD ENTITY -```>``` THE ENTITY ON WHICH IT DEPENDS
  2. ASSETS -```> FILTER -\>``` ASSET SELECTION
  3. ASSET COUNT -> FILTER -```>``` ASSET SELECTION
  4. ASSET COUNT -```> ADD -\>``` ASSET SELECTION
